Creole sweet potatoes, from Cheap Recipe Blog

There is a co-op just a few blocks from my apartment that makes the most delicious side dish: Creole yams. They’re oven-roasted until they’re tender on the inside with a slight crunch on the outside and the ends. They are seasoned with a variety of spices, and have just the right amount of kick.

I recently tried making creole yams at home, except that I used sweet potatoes instead. They turned out great and tasted almost exactly like the co-op creole yams. Now that I know how to make them at home, I can save money and control the spice level too (read: add more cayenne pepper!)
