Total Time: 30 min

Make a big batch of basic guacamole, and let your party guests go wild with toppings and mix-ins. Aim for a good variety of sweet, spicy, and flavorful toppings.

Ingredients:

Basic guacamole recipe:
  • 6 ripe avocados
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • Dash of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce, optional
Guacamole bar add-ins:
  • Lime segments
  • Roasted garlic, chopped
  • Chopped red onion
  • Fire-roasted sweet corn
  • Grape halves
  • Pomegranate arils
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Jalapeno peppers
  • Serrano peppers
  • Cilantro
  • Tabasco or other hot sauce
  • Worchestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Remove flesh from avocados and mash with a fork. You want the avocados to be slightly chunky, not smooth. Add other ingredients and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap until ready to eat.
  2. To serve, place guacamole in a large serving bowl. Place toppings in separate smaller bowls. Give each guest a larger bowl to mix guacamole ingredients together.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips.
